As I reached inside the class

I felt a sense of guilt

As teacher was already inside

And the class was totally filled

Teacher let me inside with unwanted looks

As that day too I was late

Besides I didn’t do my homework

And that’s what she used to hate

Then she continued with her science lesson

Telling students the facts so wise

She told when an apple hit Newton’s head

He was very surprised

As teacher taught this lesson to us

I didn’t know what happened to me

I stood up and raised my voice

In favour of my curiosity

​

I said the statement may be true

And so can be the rule

But still these words make me feel

That Newton was indeed a fool

​

Falling of an apple

Cannot be the surprising stuff

However it could have been

If the apple would go up

​

As I said this, all students

Burst into laughter that I caused

But when teacher asked me to get out

Everyone could manage a pause
