Night Fright

One night when I was passing

Through a lonely and narrow street

The winds were cool and the weather was calm

And I hardly could move my feet

But somehow I made myself moving

As I wanted to rush to my home

I had heard a lot about that place

That it was not perfect to roam

All of a sudden I felt

As if someone was on my way

When I turned back, I saw

A lady standing few steps away

It was a full moon night

And the weather was getting frost

In the background of moonlight

She was looking like a ghost

There were three reasons for my fear

First, the night was so starry

Her long hairs were waving

And she was wearing a white saree

I was panicking the worst

And I didn’t know what next to be done

So I looked at right at then at left

And immediately made a run

But this didn’t prove any good to me

Though this was the way left last

As when I turned back, I noticed

She was still following me fast

Suddenly, a shock I did receive

When I came before a fence

Now there was no way to escape

I could just wait for suspense

When she came to me, I closed my eyes

As I couldn’t dare to see

Then she touched me and said-“Out!

Now you come and catch me.”
